Convert your Vekta.5 into a brushless monster with our electric conversion kit! This "drop in" kit converts the Vekta to electric, with virtually no modifications. Simply bolt in the new transmission plates with your stock hardware, and replace your fuel tank with the supplied battery plate and aluminum spacers. The main transmission plate is designed to accept two different 1/5 scale brushless motor bolt patterns (30mm and 45mm), so just about any 1/5 brushless motor should fit. Slots for motor mounting allow for a wide range of gearing options. And the rear transmission plate was designed keeping features for mounting the stock mechanical brakes, for those that want to keep the strain of slowing down a 40+ lb truck off of their motor and esc. Included in the kit: - (1) Front transmission/motor mounting plate - (1) Rear transmission plate (with features for stock mechanical brake mounting)** - (2) Rear upper link mount attachment braces (which bolt to the front transmission plate) - (1) battery plate - (4) aluminum spacers (these slide over the posts on the stock fuel tank mounts for battery plate mounting support) - (4) M4x16mm bolts (for link mount braces) - (4) M4x16mm bolts with M4 flat washers (for motor mounting) Do Not mount motor without included flat washers, as bolts may cause damage to mounting slots without them. Items you will need to source yourself to complete this kit include: - (1) additional stock rear “hanging” style Kraken fuel tank mount** (kvt13) - Velcro straps (300mm & 500mm work great for securing your lipos to the battery plate)
Pinion gear (common 1.5 module size) **If using mechanical brakes with this kit - your stock brake post may require grinding 0.5 - 1.0mm off the bottom to make it short enough to line up properly with the brass barrel that sits between the post and the disc brake pad. **The additional rear hanging fuel tank mount is needed because 2 are required for mounting the battery plate, and the Vekta.5 only comes stock with one, as the fuel tank only requires one. The battery plate in this kit requires 2, so you will need to order 1. Stock hardware is needed to mount transmission plates to the chassis.
