About

ESP (Earth Surfer Products) Race Ported Zenoah G320RC 4-Bolt Engine - Complete with Clutch available in 2 options

Based on the brand new design released in 2014, the Zenoah G320RC 31.8cc 4-Bolt Engine. All new design - redesigned cylinder, crankcase, crankshaft, piston, etc for an absolute explosion of power, yet still in the same size package as the original Zenoah RC engines. This Zenoah G320RC engine has a 38mm bore, and 28mm stroke, for 31.8cc in its stock form. Includes a revolutionary new cylinder design with closed deck transfer ports (two piece), with removable covers. This engine has had the intake, exhaust and transfer ports modified by ESP to increase peak RPM and peak horsepower from the stock displacement.

Very important:

This engine's outer clutch housing is available in 2 versions. When ordering, select the clutch housing option you need from the drop-down menu.

BB130C - This is the factory version of the motor - clutch comes exactly as manufactured by the Zenoah factory, with no modifications. Fits HPI Baja 5B/5T/5SC, Kraken Vekta.5, Helicopter, Go-Ped, etc. This is the version that will work properly for most applications. The Losi 5IVE-T 2.0 and Desert Buggy XL 2.0 use this engine option. You will need to use the Factory Losi modified clutch housing (LOS252093). You do not need to use the CY fan cover or clutch plate for the 2.0 models.

BB130D - This version of the engine has a modified "shorty" clutch housing - For R/C cars that were originally designed specifically for CY engines, which have less total engine width. Fits Losi 5IVE-T 1.0, Losi Desert Buggy XL 1.0 (DBXL), TLR 5IVE-B and Redcat. A CY fan cover must also be used for this engine to fit a Losi 5ive, Losi DBXL or Redcat. This is the stock fan cover from your Losi 5ive, Losi DBXL or Redcat. We also have these fan covers available for purchase separately (see item EG411), also at the bottom of this page in the "related items".

Nearly all  Losi/TLR clutch bell set ups also require you to use the CY Clutch plate (see item GT244) and clutch plate bolt (GT249) as the Zenoah plate pushes the clutch shoes too far out. Note: Aftermarket Billet aluminum clutch housings are available for the HPI Baja 5B/5T/5SC (see part number GT396) and Losi 5ive/DBXL & Redcat. (see part number SM106SV).
Here is a YouTube video that helps explain the clutch options:

This engine is not compatible with most FG Modellsport or Smartech models. The larger crankcase interferes with the input shaft into the transmission.

Details

Fits most all the same applications as the regular Zenoah R/C Engines:
HPI Baja 5B/5T/5SC, Losi 5IVE-T, TLR 5IVE-B, Kraken VEKTA, Losi Desert Buggy XL (DBXL)/MTXL, Redcat, Go-Ped Scooters (clutch driven versions only), Helicopters, and more!

For Go-Ped use - This engine will bolt on and work on existing 54mm clutch models. Will work on spindle drive models only if ADA clutch is used (part GT201).

This is a complete engine - including carburetor, air filter, clutch, and muffler. In many applications including in most RC cars you will remove the factory Zenoah exhaust muffler and air filter to use the exhaust and air filter that came with your model. The factory Zenoah air filters are not made for extremely dirty or dusty environments.

For upgraded and replacement power options you can choose from the following:

Upgraded transfer port covers. These can be used with the factory Zenoah cylinder as well as any ported or modified cylinders. Bartolone Racing and Turtle Racing/OBR offer some that can be seen here: Bartolone Covers and TR/OBR Covers

For a replacement ESP Ported cylinder set you can purchase that here: Race Ported ESP G320RC Top End Kit

You can modify the engine with a long stroke crankshaft which increases total displacement. With a long stroke crankshaft you will increase total torque, generally RPM will decrease a small amount. ESP offers a non-ported 34cc kit: ESP Modified 34cc upgrade kit

For the most power available with the stock crankcase you can get an ESP Race Ported AND modified 34cc kit. This gets the benefits of increase RPM from race porting and increased torque from the long stroke crankshaft: ESP Race Ported AND Modified 34cc upgrade kit

The most dramatic way to add power will be using a tuned exhaust pipe. The exhaust port is the same as original RC style engines. This means any existing exhaust on your Zenoah or CY RC style engine will fit. You can use Dominator, Bartolone, and Victory RC pipes on these engines with great results.

Horsepower ratings vary based on what information you pull from. This engine is significantly more powerful than the Zenoah G290RC engine. By adding a tuned pipe and additional power upgrades like ported cylinder kits, modified transfer port covers or long stroke crankshafts you can make the G320RC a formidable powerhouse. Check the "Details" tab for more information on what suggestions DDM has for power upgrades.
