Turtle Racing has developed a One Piece 6061, Billet aluminum Pinion/Spur Gear plate. This TR Gearplate eliminates the stock 3-piece assembly, including the plastic 2-piece block that holds the spur gear bearing. The TR Gear Plate has been designed with strengthening and cooling "ribs" around the FastEddy spur gear bearing to help dissipate heat and add strength to the bearing journal. The bearing replacement for this part is TT679.
Fits both HPI Baja 5B and 5T/5SC
There are three styles of gear plates to choose.
The "Stock" clutch refers to a stock sized clutch bell carrier. If your clutch carrier uses a 12x24 or 12x28 sized bearing this is the gear plate you want to use.
The "V1" TR Clutch style is what comes on the V1 enclosed carrier and "Race Edition" Turtle Racing clutch carrier system. The TR clutch systems use a 15x32 sized clutch bearing.
The "V2 TR" clutch style is the gear plate that comes with the V2 enclosed carrier Turtle Racing clutch system. This fits the TR clutch carrier that has a 15x32 sized clutch bell bearing. It also has some aligning dimples that fit into the clutch carrier.
